Guide Review - Ahn Trio's Lullaby for my Favorite Insomniac
On the album you'll find works created after well-established pieces of music including "My Funny Valentine," as well as works specially commissioned works including Astor Piazzolla's "Oblivion." The album's title is truly descriptive of the music you might expect - fun, whimsical, tranquil, yet full of life and energy. "Dies Irie"'s gentle fluidity and taking-a-thoughtful-stroll-through-the-park-like nature is one of my favorite pieces on the album, as well as Ra.D's remix of "My Funny Valentine" with its youthful dance rhythms and orchestration. Even if you are a die-hard classical music listener, this blended style of music will surprise and delight you.
