I, myself, am a lover of the violin, and after listening to Haydn's string quartets, it would be safe to say he did too. The Angeles String Quartet plays these pieces of music flawlessly; their fine musicianship and incredible talent ever apparent throughout the 15 disk collection.
For music students analyzing Haydn's string quartets, this collection is a must have. Recordings that were once hard to find (or didn't exist) are now readily available.
