- New York City, NY: Mary Zimmerman's new production of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at the Metropolitan Opera is one of this year's most talked about productions starring the incredible Natalie Dessay as the title role. Like last year's opening performance of Madama Butterfly, the Met will broadcast Lucia live to Times Square and outside of the Met at the Lincoln Center Plaza, as well as on the Metropolitan Opera Radio on the Sirius Satellite Radio.
- Kansas City, MO: For those of you living in or near the Kansas City area, here's your chance to see one of the greatest violinists of our generation. Joshua Bell will be performing works by Revueltas, Chausson, Saint-Saens, Respighi, and Corigliano in the heart of the Midwest January 18-20 with the Kansas City Symphony.
- Omaha, NE: On October 20th, a fun filled concert full of familiar and exciting works will be held in Omaha, Nebraska at the Holland Performing Arts Center under the befitting title "As Heard on TV." This will be a great concert to which to take your family and friends as it is a fantastic introduction to classical music and classical music concerts.
- Boston, MA: With guest artists and conductors including famed soprano Renee Fleming, baritone Nathan Gunn, conductors Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and Sir Colin Davis, as well as one of the greatest cellists of all-time, Yo Yo Ma, this year's season at the Boston Symphony Orchestra looks like it's going to be a blast!
- Las Vegas, NV: The Masterworks program series at the Las Vegas Philharmonic features some fantastic music including Brahms's Symphony No. 2, Schubert's Symphony No. 9, Mozart's Symphony No. 40, as well as Robert Schumann's Symphony No. 4. The Masterworks series totals five separate concerts beginning and ending the season.
- Dallas, TX: The Dallas Symphony Orchestra boasts a fantastic 2007-08 season with a five-weekend Beethoven Festival where you'll be able to hear all 9 of his amazing symphonies along with other selected works.
- San Francisco, CA: A new production of Wagner's Das Rheingold will be performed through the month of June at the San Francisco Opera. Artistic Adviser Francesca Zambello's new and provocative staging will parallel era's in American history including the California Gold Rush and the Roaring Twenties. Principal performers include Jenifer Larmore, Mark Delavan, and Richard Paul Fink.
- New York City, NY: Billed as The Tchaikovsky Experience, opening season at the New York Philharmonic consists of a thirteen day festival dedicated to the brilliant Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. With works including Symphony No. 1, Piano Concerto No. 1, Swan Lake, and "Pathetique" Symphony, opening weeks at Avery Fisher Hall look to be incredibly extraordinary.
- London, UK: If you're going to be in London anytime this classical music season, you're in for a real treat. Under the baton of conductor Valery Gergiev all of Mahler's symphonies will be performed throughout the course of the season.
- Portland, OR: The Portland Symphony Orchestra promises a fulfilling season this year with an all-Russian program and a Stravinsky Celebration, as well as works by Brahms, Beethoven, Dvorak, Mozart, and Mahler.
