Focused on a young French aristocrat maiden during the French Revolutionary War, Blanche spends the entire opera fearful for her life. Hoping to escape a dark fate, she joins a convent and lives a new life as a nun. With a very moving finale, Francis Poulenc's second opera can send chills down your spine.
