This year some very exciting film scores were nominated; each are remarkably different from one another. Alexandre Desplat has a 40% chance of winning a Grammy this year as two of his film scores were nominated: The King's Speech and Harry Patter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. However, he's up against Clint Mansell (The Fountain, Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream), Ryan Shore (Prime, The Girl Next Door, Headspace) and electron music masters, Daft Punk. It's hard telling who will win the Grammy for Best Film Score, but if I had to put money on it, I'd say Clint Mansell's Black Swan soundtrack. It's a brilliant remixing and remodeling of Tchaikovsky's famous Swan Lake. View the 54th annual Grammy nominees for Best Score Soundtrack.
