A Synopsis of Handel's Rodelinda

On December 3, 2011 - just a few weeks away - the Met will broadcast its production of Handel's Rodelinda starring the spectacular, Renee Fleming, as part of its Live in HD programming.  The Met premiered the opera in 2004, and received glowing reviews.  No doubt, Fleming performs Handel pieces beautifully (see my top 10 Renee Fleming albums, which includes her Handel LP), so seeing her reprise her role as Rodelinda in next month's performance should be nothing short of amazing.  Rodelinda is not often performed, but it's a great opera with a great story and great music!  Read the synopsis of Handel's Rodelinda.
