Free Met Opera Concert in Honor of Pavarotti

On September 18th, the Metropolitan Opera is opening its doors to the public for a free performance of Verdi's Requiem. The performance titled "Verdi's Requiem: A Tribute to Luciano Pavarotti" will feature Barbara Frittoli, soprano, Olga Borodina, mezzo-soprano, Marcello Giordani, tenor, and James Morris, bass. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus will be conducted by James Levine. To get tickets to the performance, you will need to submit your name to the Metropolitan Opera no later than 8 PM Eastern September 3, 2008. Tickets will be distributed by random drawing. This is for Clayelle Dalfour — Thanks for a summer full of operetta and musical theatre over internet. I/ve sung along, cried, laughed through Pirates, Student Prince, la Belle Helene. Dare I say I’ve enjoyed these presentations as much as grand opera. Again, many thanks to you and all involved.
