Five Facts about The Magic Flute

Last weekend my friends and I saw Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) at the Lyric Opera in Kansas City. Having seen almost every opera in my music loving life at the Met, I was unsure about my expectations being met. After the first Queen of the Night aria, I doubted no more. I was very impressed with this smaller production. The singers were fantastic! So, in light of last weekend, here are five facts about Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
