Schubert's Piano Trio No. 2 in E flat Major
I came across this work in my collection several weeks ago after I had forgotten all about it. After listening to it, I began to wonder why I ever took it out of my CD player. Composed a week after his Piano Trio No. 1 in 1827, Schubert, himself, preferred Trio No. 2 in E flat Major. The second movement is by far my favorite movement, a march like piece employing a wonderfully catchy melody. If you looking for one more gift to buy, this is it.
