Tanglewood 2006 Lineup Announced

The Boston Symphony Orchestra's highly anticipated lineup was announced this month, with ticket sales beginning February 12, 2006. The BSO will kick off its season with Beethoven's Ninth Symphony conducted by James Levine. During Mozart's 250th anniversary celebration, Levine will also conduct Mozart's Requiem, "Jupiter" Symphony, Don Giovanni, and other works by Mozart. Conductor Seiji Ozawa returns to the BSO to conduct Mahler's Symphony No. 2. Audiences can expect to see performances by Yo Yo Ma, Andre Watts, Gil Shaham, Midori, and many other famed musicians. It looks to be another exciting year for the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
