I had the pleasure of hearing Mendelssohn's string quartets for the first time performed by the Pacifica Quartet. If you are a fan of Beethoven's or Schubert's string quartets, you will definitely be a fan of Mendelssohn's. Much of Mendelssohn's quartets were influenced by the two extremely gifted composers. The Pacifica Quartet plays masterfully and the music is superb. I highly recommend this album! Read the review...
